About S&EDPS
​Help your customers plan for their next Skype for Business or Exchange deployment on premise or in the cloud through Office 365. Customers may also be interested in Exchange Online Protection and Exchange Data Loss Prevention deployment with SEDPS. By using Skype for Business and Exchange Deployment Planning Services (S&EDPS), eligible customers may redeem their Microsoft Software Assurance Planning Services benefit​​ vouchers for up to 15-days of planning activity through an approved SEDPS provider for their next deployment, either for on-premises, in the cloud, or in a hybrid environment. 

Value to the customer

Customers can use S&EDPS to cover the cost of planning services to help them understand why and how to deploy Skype for Business Server or Exchange Server on premise, in the cloud through Office 365 or in a hybrid environment Depending on the number of days the customer qualifies for and the services they are interested in receiving the S&EDPS engagement may include a variety of benefits including: 
  • Understanding basic functionality provided by Microsoft Skype for Business or Microsoft Exchange on premise and through Office 365
  • Leverage an expert for their deployment planning activities and questions Understanding of architectural and operational aspects of Microsoft Skype for Business or Microsoft Exchange
  • Understand the basic functionality of Exchange Online Protection, or Exchange Data Loss Prevention planning a high-level deployment strategy planning and pilot deployment
  • Next steps recommendations to continue planning efforts

S&EDPS engagements

S&EDPS engagements are designed to produce a deployment, upgrade or migration plan while also helping the customer better understand the business value of adoption by trying out the technology firsthand within the context of in a hands-on lab. Who can participate? 

To deliver S&EDPS engagements to customers, your organization (and any consultants who will be delivering engagements) must meet certain program eligibility requirements. Refer to the Partner eligibility requirements and Prepare for and learn about S&EDPS engagements​ pages for more information.

Get Registered

Submit the Planning Services Completion Report Submission Form after each Planning Services engagement, making sure to upload a copy of the customer deliverable when prompted.

Upon successful submission of the online form, you will be sent a confirmation email with a submission file receipt attachment and guidance to complete the next steps:

  1. Redeem Planning Services voucher(s) in VVR

  2. Invoice against Planning Services voucher(s) in SAVB
